Overview

Ken specialises in developing organisational and individual capability through consulting, training and coaching. Specific areas of application in this regard are Leadership, Culture, Change Management, Strategy, Team Development, Knowledge Management, Communication, Performance Management and Resilience.

Ken has worked at the executive level at The Alfred Hospital (Melbourne) as Director, Information Services, where he had responsibility for some 100 staff and successfully led some of the most significant change initiatives tackled in the health sector at the time. He has also worked at the executive level at Honda Australia as National Manager Information Systems and in that capacity drove substantial strategic change initiatives.Ken has been an Associate of Mt Eliza Executive Education (now part of Melbourne Business School) for 16 years and in that capacity has conducted consulting, training and executive coaching for many of Australia’s most significant organisations.

Coaching Qualifications and Experience

While Ken had previously been coaching for some years, he underwent a formal coaching accreditation program conducted by Melbourne Business School in 2009. He has since remained an accredited executive coach with the School and its subsidiary, Mt Eliza Executive Education. He has also undertaken accreditation coaching at Lee Hecht Harrison, where he is an executive coach (currently working with Toyota).

Ken has provided extensive coaching at general management, CEO and Board levels. At City of Port Phillip, for example, he has conducted some 20 coaching assignments and delivered LSI 360 reviews / team coaching for managers in Place Development and Strategy, and Safety and Amenity.

At Defence Department, Ken has designed and delivered coaching and mentoring training for leaders, and has personally coached some 200 staff in leadership capability, career development and personal management. At Melbourne Water, Ken provided personal coaching to the CEO and all members of the Board, while at Australian Unity he also coached the CEO and senior members of the management team.At Baptcare, Ken and his coaching team have delivered a series of coaching programs for executive team members through to operational managers. At Queensland Health, Ken has conducted many coaching assignments for middle-level managers.Ken has coached numerous other private and public sector managers, CEOs and owners. Other Client Activities

At Defence Department, Ken designed and delivered a suite of leadership programs (including Development Centres) that have now been undertaken by more than 2,000 staff. In parallel, Ken has designed and delivered programs for Defence covering high performing teams, change management and high potentials. At City of Port Phillip, Ken has conducted workshops on Resilience and Communicating to Influence, amongst many other programs. Finally, at Australian Federal Police, Ken has led numerous residential learning circles for executive staff (SES Band 1), facilitated national forums, conducted executive coaching and delivered workshops to support staff in dealing with change. He also worked as lead consultant in the AFP’s redesign of their performance management framework.

Geoff brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the benefit of his clients.He has over 25 years in senior executive roles within the Australian Public Service, fourteen of those at Deputy Secretary/Deputy CEO level.

Geoff has served on a number of commercial, not for profit and voluntary boards. He is currently the Chair of Hartley Lifecare ACT.He is deeply experienced in government affairs, and was awarded the Public Service Medal in 2011 for his work on reforms to national housing and homelessness programs.

Responsible for establishing the Australian Climate Change Regulatory Authority, and subsequently for policy and programs for climate adaptation, renewable energy, communications, and corporate affairs. Established the climate regulator from a zero base, ready for business by the time the emissions trading scheme was abandoned by the Government.

Overview

Michelle’s consulting and coaching approach is driven by compassion, humanity, empathy, equity and respect. She is a keen listener with strong empathy and a lived experience of success through diversity, loss, disability and courage.

Michelle has enjoyed a career in the private and mostly public sector over 35 years. Her public sector career of nearly 30 years comprised service delivery, program management, policy and corporate roles in the Commonwealth government. Fifteen of those years in the Australian Public Service were spent in the Senior Executive Service (SES); nine years as an SES Band 1 Officer and the last six years as an SES Band 2 officer.

Michelle has extensive experience and a passion for working with service delivery networks and managing virtual teams. As a senior leader with corporate responsibilities, she has a deep understanding of people issues, including employee engagement, talent management, reward and recognition, diversity, recruitment and leadership development. She has been a Diversity Champion and a Disability Champion in two large Commonwealth government departments.

Michelle has been an accredited coach with IECL (Level Three certification) since 2009.   She has coached extensively at the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, where Strategic Leadership is a member of the coaching panel; her client feedback there has been consistently outstanding.  Other coaching engagements include a CEO, C-suite executives, senior executives and senior officers in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors.

Ross is a highly experienced executive coach and designer, developer and facilitator of leadership development initiatives. His initial career as a psychologist was in clinical practice and he became a leader in the field of trauma management and crisis response. Over the years, Ross became increasingly in demand as a coach and trainer of coaches, particular in business settings. He has been involved for many years with Melbourne Business School / Mt Eliza Executive Education, and at various times has had responsibility for the public sector (Australia and Pacific region) and managed large complex change initiatives in Defence, Health and Utilities. He was also responsible for a global leadership project with BHP Billiton.

In addition to designing and facilitating leadership and change programs, Ross has undertaken extensive research into strategies to identify and develop high potential staff and has become recognised as an authority on the use of Development Centres to determine leadership capabilities. He also assists organisations to develop and articulate leadership capability frameworks to benchmark leadership development initiatives.

As an Executive Coach he brings his rich background as a practicing psychologist and expertise with standardised assessment instruments to tailor unique interventions for executives. Jackie is a qualified Organisational Psychologist with 20 years’ organisational, counselling, consulting, facilitation and coaching experience. Warren is a Behavioural Strategist specialising in the development of executive capability. He has been responsible for the assessment, development and implementation of development programs for senior executives in a variety of large blue chip organisations and has conducted over 14,000 hours of development with senior executives. Examples of projects which he has led include senior executive coaching and development, advanced leadership programs, human capital due diligence, team development, strategic planning, sales strategy development and personal career planning.

She specialises in working with new and emerging leaders to develop their leadership capability and to strategically manage their leadership careers. She is particularly interested in assisting organisations to develop their leadership pipeline and retain their high-performing staff through targeted coaching and career development.

With a passion for helping others to be successful and fulfilled in their working lives, Karina works with clients to improve self-awareness, emotional intelligence, productivity, communication and resilience. The strong interpersonal skills, curiosity and compassion that Karina brings to her work allow her to provide an insightful perspective and a focus on moving forward. Most importantly, Karina provides a safe yet challenging space for coaching counterparts to explore and learn. Through her engaging presence, Karina works with clients to identify their values, leverage their strengths and work through their barriers to implement positive changes in their leadership careers and their organisations.

With 12 years of experience in the federal government, including over 5 years at the Executive level, Karina’s experience spans program delivery, policy evaluation, and leadership capability development. Specifically:

  • • business development and support for small business
Client Activities

Karina is an experienced coach with hundreds of hours of coaching experience. She has provided coaching to a wide range of clients, including clients at the Attorney General’s Department, the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science, IP Australia, the Australian Federal Police, the Royal Australian Air Force, and Directions ACT.

Karina has facilitated a number of workshops for a range of clients on resilience, building confidence, self-awareness and career management. Karina has also facilitated roundtable discussions on topics including leadership, self-awareness, and working with others.

Accreditations (Instruments)

Karina is an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation and an Accredited Organisational Coach (Level 3) with the Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership. She is also a Professional Member of the Career Development Association of Australia.

Karina is accredited to deliver the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI) to teams and individuals.
